Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear delegates,

My name is Shaaraw Darbarwar, and it is with great pride and immense gratitude that I introduce myself as the Secretary-General of OakBMUN 2025 — the fourth edition of the Oakridge Bachupally Model United Nations.

Before anything else, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the three Secretariats before me whose hard work and vision built the very foundation on which this year’s conference stands. OakBMUN is what it is today because of your tireless efforts, and I am honored to carry forward that legacy.

To my exceptional Director General, our 18-member Secretariat, the Organizing Committee, and the many teachers and mentors who support and guide us — thank you. Your belief, dedication, and countless hours of effort are what transform OakBMUN from an idea into an experience.

From its first edition, OakBMUN has grown into one of Hyderabad’s largest student-led conferences, and this year, we’re going even further. With 13 dynamic committees, global agendas, and a renewed commitment to authenticity and inclusivity, OakBMUN IV will be bigger, bolder, and more impactful than ever before.

This is a platform for every student — whether you’ve attended dozens of conferences or have never stepped into committee — to speak, listen, challenge, and lead. Because diplomacy isn’t about experience; it’s about courage, curiosity, and the willingness to engage.

Join us on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of August 2025 at Oakridge International School, Bachupally. Together, we will question, collaborate, and shape conversations that matter.
